With all that being said, Deadline’s Mike Fleming Jr. is reporting that Cruise and Elon Musk’s Space X are working alongside NASA in what would be the first-ever narrative feature film to be shot in outer space. The as-of-yet-untitled film is said to be an “action-adventure.” No other details have been given to us by Fleming Jr. Suffice to say, If you thought Cruise could top climbing the Burj Kalifa in “Ghost Protocol,” then how about performing high-octane jumps .. in freaking space. Cruise is 57 years old and is set to release “Top Gun: Maverick” this fall. At a time when the film industry will likely remain in lockdown, to flatten the curve, this is Cruise needing his adrenaline rush and, jokingly, or not, saying “If only we could film somewhere where there is literally no one!” As they say, there is only one Tom Cruise.
