I need to figure out my ten best films list, which is such a chore. IW also wants voters to include their own personal choices for the best performances of the year. I started digging and tried to narrow it down to the ten “best” performances, it’s all relative, really, this list could easily change in the next day or two (the poll deadline is December 7th). It’s been a very weak year for highlight-worthy male lead performances, but a very strong one for supporting actors. On the female front, there were so many to choose from. I also noticed that most of the best acting work I’ve seen this year will probably not be recognized the Academy. For shame! Pundits are again pushing the wrong performances this year.
