We’re all wondering whether David Fincher’s “The Killer” will be released this year, or in 2023. I did some hard research a few weeks back, asking around about Fincher’s latest. I got an assortment of different responses. The truth is, nobody really knows, not even Netflix. They’re just letting Fincher take his time and if it’s ready by December then maybe we’ll have a surprise release. With that being said, it sure looks like the odds are that it will be out during the first quarter of 2023. In his latest column for The Ankler, Sneider assesses this fall’s Netflix releases and he’s positioning “The Killer” as 2023. I reached out to Sneider asking him why he came to this conclusion and he’s saying, based on the Netflix folks he’s spoken to, “it doesn’t look like” a 2022 release will occur, or “movie aside, it didn’t sound like they are preparing for a fall season of Fincher.” This is nowhere near a closed case, but it’s where we’re at right now when it comes to this highly anticipated movie.
