Now it appears, according to IndieWire, that Tarantino will be doing the same with his latest project, the still in Cinemas, ode to LA, ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’, starring Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Margot Robbie. In fact, Pitt himself appears to be the one who has let the news slip, stating in an interview with Kyle Buchanan at the New York Times, “It’s almost like the best of both worlds”. Whilst producer of the film, David Heyman fueled the fire, by stating young Julia Butters, who steals the film with in her scenes with DiCaprio’s waning television actor Rick Dalton, has a scene so good that no one has seen, it could have possibly landed her an Oscar nomination. It’s no secret that Tarantino’s latest release originally had a run time of four hours 20 minutes before being scaled down, so the idea of getting more back story, and more time spent with these characters both rich in flavor and personality that Tarantino created can only be a good thing. This format of the story would no doubt offer us more scenes with the likes of Damon Herriman’s Charles Manson, Damian Lewis’ Steve McQueen, and the as of yet unseen Tim Roth, who Tarantino confirmed played Jay Sebring’s (Emile Hirsch) English butler, no doubt a scene many would love to see. It’s unclear at this time if ‘Hollywood’ will copy ‘The Hateful Eight’ and drop as four episodes on Netflix, but you’d hazard a guess to say that can’t be far wrong. But, at the very least there will be more Pitt as Cliff Booth, more DiCaprio as Dalton, more Robbie as Sharon Tate, and more Butters as the magnificent Trudi. Sign us up Contribute Hire me
