A Venice premiere for hometown boy Sorrentino is far likelier, especially with the glitzy subject matter and an obvious fall Oscar push from Apple. Apple won the rights to “Sue” (which might be a working title) early last year. Tackling the life of Sue Mengers, the female agent who broke the glass ceiling and crashed the Hollywood boys club of agenting, Sorrentino is coming off his personal Venice-winning film “The Hand of God.” Sue Mengers was a very short, chubby, funny, brilliant Jewish woman.
