No, she has decided not to conform to any of the political activists that want her to just go away and shut up. If anything, Roseanne has doubled down on her free-flowingly outspoken thinking of late. Barr’s off-the-rails interview on Candace Owen’s radio show will likely cause a stir....

Telluride has had a tight relationship with Cooper over the years. They’ve premiered films such as “Black Mass,” “Hostiles,” and “Out of the Furnace.” However, it did not show up in this year’s lineup. The result is not even an AFI premiere in November. Cooper’s film is just going straight to release on December 23rd. Strange. The trailer unveiled today makes it look like a well-shot and directed affair. Bale seems to fit the part....

I used to despise this decade’s onslaught of sequels and cheesy action movies, but then the last few years happened and now it feels nostalgic. Truth be told this was the decade that introduced moviemaking as a total business of sequels, franchises and action, lots and lots of testosterone-fueled action. As far as critics go, a good blueprint would be the massive critics poll I conducted a year ago. None of the films in the ensuing top 40 should really be counted as underrated, they all clearly have massive support....

What you are seeing now, is Europe slowly but surely laying out the groundwork for a full-blown ‘Rainy Day’ release all over the continent this fall. If you can believe it, close to 10,000 tigers are owned in the U.S. alone, mostly in farmhouses and amateur zoos. If you compare that to the 4,000 that live in the rest of the world, mostly in wildlife regions, you got yourself a major animal abuse problem....

The film is the “true story of Dana Canedy’s fiancé, First Sergeant Charles Monroe King, who began to write what would become a two-hundred-page journal for his son in case he did not make it home from the war in Iraq. He was killed by a roadside bomb on October 14, 2006. His son, Jordan, was seven months old. The film has the son, all grown up, looking back on his father’s life....

However, written, directed by, and starring Valérie Lemercier, the film has decided to change the name of the singer to Aline Dieu. The trailer notes that the film is “inspired” by the events of Céline Dion’s life and what we do see tackled is the controversial relationship between Dion and her much older husband/manager Rene Angélil. He started working for her when she was only 12-years old. The film did get the blessing from the Dion estate, which also came with Lemercier having access to the singer’s treasure trove of original music....

We now have an estimate of the budget. “Babylon” cost around $110 million to make. Production on the film began in mid-2020 and wrapped in October 2021. There had been a few short delays due to COVID, otherwise filming was fluid and uninterrupted. “La La Land” had a budget of $30 million. “Whiplash” cost $3 million. “First Man” was around $60 million. Bardem is supposedly the standout in ‘Ricardos.’ I spoke to two people and they both said the audience absolutely ate up his performance. This is another glossy film from Sorkin, a very slick affair that is meant to be seen by as wide an audience as possible. The person I spoke to compared it to the straightforward style of “Bombshell,” adding multiple acting and tech noms are in store for it (in terms of Oscar)....
