Deadline has the exclusive report that Disney and Sony have indeed decided to go their separate ways. Don’t worry Spidey fanatics, Tom Holland and director Jon Watts are still under contract with Sony for two more movies. What all of this means is that whatever future MCU plans Marvel and Disney may have had with Spider-Man have, most likely, been scrapped now. According to Deadline, the offer Disney put forth at the table was so weak, and infuriated Sony boss Tom Rothman so much, that Rothman didn’t even propose a counteroffer. And so, the biggest name Disney has left, post-Endgame, is now … Black Panther? Yikes. Maybe Thor and Hulk as well. But Iron Man is dead. Captain America is gone. Spidey has been taken away. Those were the three most popular characters of the MCU. Contribute Hire me
