Guadagnino is filming “Challengers,” starring Zendaya. The plot is said to be a love triangle between Zendaya’s character and her two male lovers, Mike Faist plays her husband and Josh O’Connor her ex. “Challengers” is expected to have a 2023 release as per MGM. “Bones & All” stars Timothee Chalamet and is said to be a survival tale set in the ‘80s with a rumoured Cannibalism component added in for good measure. I know the elephant in the room must be mentioned, and it’s Guadagnino’s last film “Suspiria.” I didn’t hate it as much as some of my colleagues did, but it was no doubt a large what-the-fuck moment in his career as it totally went against the summery, romantic and Italian-set films the director was known for churning before it. “Bones and All” seems to be another Suspiria-type risk.
