In “Spencer,” which I didn’t take too kindly to, Stewart’s Princess Diana is portrayed as a total lunatic. She feels stuck and victimized, but is part of the most white-privileged of circumstances. You have no sympathy for her whatsoever. You just wish she could go see a therapist or get proper medication. There is no sympathy for her Diana, which does a major disservice to the Princess of Wales. Regardless, Stewart is excellent in the role. Facing hurdles throughout her career, mostly due to those silly “Twilight” movies, Stewart has more than thoroughly earned herself the reputation of being a good actress. She’s no doubt worked very hard for it, continuously choosing projects based on director rather than box-office prospects. Stewart is so down-to-earth and humble that she even admitted in an interview recently that she’s probably only made five really good films. I just scrolled through her filmography, much as she probably did, and found six very good to excellent films she’s starred in (“Personal Shopper,” “Certain Woman,” “Adventureland” “Panic Room,” “Into the Wild,” and “Clouds of Sils Maria.”) I presume K-Stew is also counting “Spencer.” Contribute Hire me
