“If I were to do another ‘Terminator’ film and maybe try and to launch that franchise again, which is in discussion, but nothing has been decided, I would make it much more about the AI side of it than bad robots gone crazy.” This is certainly something he hasn’t spoken of at all during this recent blitz of interviews he’s given. Props to the Smartless hosts for getting this out of him. Cameron hasn’t directed a “Terminator” movie since “Terminator: Judgement Day,” although he had major creative involvement in “Terminator; Dark Fate,” which Tim Miller directed. The film reportedly lost $120 million and received bad reviews. Cameron has spoken about his regrets in casting Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger in ‘Dark Fate.’ He even had some, um, creative differences with director Miller during production of the film.
