Nearing his 83rd birthday, Coppola is clearly not calling it quits and finally ready to make “Megalopolis.” The script is ready, and casting looks locked. A fall 2022 production —rumored to be an epic 6-month shoot — would most likely render “Megalopolis” as a 2023 release. Long known as his dream project, for close to three decades, Coppola hasn’t directed a movie since 2011’s “Twixt,” which was part of his black and white trilogy that also included 2007’s “Youth Without Youth,” and 2009’s “Tetro.” Those were homemade movies, more than anything else, but Coppola hasn’t dabbled in big studio filmmaking since 1997’s “The Rainmaker.” Contribute Hire me
