The photos released (see below) evoke that classic Anderson feel, with clear as day “The Grand Budapest Hotel” and “The Royal Tenenbaums” vibes. Not only do the photos allow us to see some of the all-star cast (some classic Anderson players) in action, including Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Adrian Brody, Timothée Chalamet, and Lea Seydoux, but it does also appear to highlight the possibility that the story will take place across multiple time periods. The film’s new poster looks to also have clarified who will lead the all-star cast, as the poster focuses on Tilda Swinton, France McDormand, Bill Murray, Timothée Chalamet, Lea Seydoux, Adrien Brody, Owen Wilson, Jefferey Wright, Lyna Khoudri, Stephen Park, and Mathieu Amalric. Other big names involved include Saoirse Ronan, Elizabeth Moss, Willem Dafoe, and Christoph Waltz. And that’s not the only news, as it appears we will finally be getting a trailer for the film tomorrow, ahead of its July release. Hopefully, tomorrow’s trailer will shed new light on this new synopsis published by The New Yorker along with the photos. It reads “The French Dispatch is the European edition of the Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun – a factual, weekly report on the subjects of world politics, the arts (high and low), fashion, fancy cuisine/fine drink, and diverse stories of human-interest set in faraway quartiers.”. Again, unquestionably Wes Anderson. I for one can’t wait to see what one of Cinema’s most original minds has up his sleeve. Contribute Hire me
