The latest is that Danny Elfman has been hired to compose the score for the —as of yet— unfinished film. That’s right, Baumbach’s film is in the very final stages of post-production before his, potential, magnum opus opens the Venice Film Festival. When Venice boss Albert Barbera announced the lineup for the latest edition of Venice, the exclamation of release in his voice when announcing the Baumbach said a lot, “it’s ready!” From what I gathered, the editing is done on the film, and there’s just a few small things here and there before, as they say, he puts it in the can. Back to Elfman, he’s primarily known as Tim Burton’s go-to composer, having worked with Burton on a whopping 17 film scores. Elfman’s style is that of large-scale orchestral works in the same romantic vein as classic-era 1950’s Hollywood movies. Contribute Hire me
