I just wrote this on Facebook: I was a fan of BlackKklansman, but Washington, Denzel’s son, didn’t particularly strike me as being an out-of-this-world talent that merited a leading role in a Christopher Nolan movie. Then again, you don’t really need to “act” in a Nolan movie as much as just be a part of the narrative gimmick that he sets up for his actors.
