My go-to box-office prognosticator, a man deeply indebted inside the system, has given me another little nugget of information for this coming weekend’s numbers. He’s telling me that Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” is set to have an estimated $120 million opening at the domestic box-office. The film’s budget is said to be around $185 million. Add in the fact that it’s one of the few American films that has gotten full approval for a Chinese release, and I presume the folks over at the WB are doing somersaults watching these numbers unfold. “The Batman” has a 72 Metascore and a 96% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The positive reviews will no doubt push some of those who were on the fence in buying a ticket to now go to the local multiplex and catch Reeves’ 3-hour epic. Of course, The Batman’s predicted $120 million opening will come nowhere near the $260 million 3-day tally of “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” the latter remains the second greatest box-office debut of all-time, right behind “Avengers: Endgame.” Contribute Hire me
