We can now confirm that Paul Dano has been added to the cast to play The Riddler, Batman’s arch nemesis, previously tackled by Jim Carey in 1995’s “Batman Forever.“ [via THR] Jonah Hill was reportedly eyeing the role, but was unable to come to terms on a deal with Warner Bros. Dano is best known as a character actor whose work in such films as “There Will Be Blood,” “Little Miss Sunshine,” “12 Years a Slave,” ”Prisoners,” and “Swiss Army Man” received critical acclaim. “The Batman” will be released on June 25, 2021.
