The plot is already shaping up to be a controversial one as a virus, dubbed COVID-23, wipes out millions of humans all over the planet amidst a neverending four-year lockdown, this one forcing people to stay in literal house-imprisonment lockdown for four years.
As seen in the trailer for “Songbird,” this pandemic-era film is being delivered to us in the form of a thriller and takes place during the current fourth year of lockdown. The main characters, two young lovebirds (KJ Apa and Sofia Carson), are forced to stay apart due to the quarantine regulations. That all changes when the young woman might be exposed to COVID-23 and the government goes after her to exterminate her? The trailer doesn’t really specify why. “Songbird” was written and produced during this COVID-19 lockdown we are experiencing in real-life, live, and are still in the midst of. Its production lasted 17 days with the filming conditions being reported as less-than-safe by an anonymous crew member. Bay isn’t directing this one, but is taking producing reigns. Director Adam Mason, alongside stars Apa and Carson, will be joined by actors that include Craig Robinson, Bradley Whitford, Peter Stormare, Alexandra Daddario, Paul Walter Hauser, and Demi Moore. A release date for “Songbird” has yet to be unveiled, but expect it to come out before the end of the year. Contribute Hire me
