However, a film as slyly entertaining as “Knives Out” is too hard to resist, even for the haters. It’s a great whodunit, even though we already know who did it at the start. The cast Johnson has assembled for “Knives Out” is also impressive; Chris Evans, Daniel Crag, Jamie Lee Curtis, Don Johnson, Ana de Armas, Toni Collette, Michael Shannon, Lakeith Stanfield and Christopher Plummer. The official synopsis reads like an Agatha Christie novella: “Wealthy crime novelist Harlan Thrombrey invites his extended dysfunctional family to his mansion on his 85th birthday in hopes of reuniting them all.
