Apparently, the Italian release date for Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” has already been set for January 26, 2023 via theatrical release and NOT straight to Apple TV. This aligns well with the intel that I received a week ago that Scorsese’s film will have a US release of December 2022. There was heavy talk that the film could possibly get pushed to next year, but I was assured that it is very much being released this year. After receiving the intel last week, we tried to contact a major creative (who shall remain nameless) from the “Killers of the Flower Moon” team, and he refused to confirm or deny the December date, but had this to say: There is no movie that we anticipate more this year than “Killers of the Flower Moon,” closest is Damien Chazelle’s “Babylon. There is no more fulfilling cinematic experience than sitting down and getting ready to watch a new film by Scorsese. It’s the closest we, cinephiles, will have in 2022 to a religious experience.
