From 2013 on, Bruce Willis’ career has been tanking. He’s all, but tapped out for a few years and decided to keep himself working by taking a few paycheck-driven roles. Sure, he’s attempted a comeback with 2019’s “Glass,” the sequel-of-sorts to Split and Unbreakable, and the artsy crime drama “Motherless Brooklyn,” but here’s yet another straight-to-VOD affair for Willis, this one is titled “Hard Kill.” In “Hard Kill,” an ex-marine has to get a team back together for one last mission against a terrorist who wants to destroy the world or something like that. Willis plays a rich guy who joins the team because that same terrorist kidnapped his daughter, “Hard Kill” is directed by Matt Eskandari and is based on a script by, of all people, MCU director Joe Russo, and Chris LaMont. Willis seems to be fond of Eskandari, as the filmmaker worked with the actor in two previous films (“Survive the Night” and “Trauma Center”). “Hard Kill” is, supposedly, being released in select theaters and VOD on August 28.
