Deadline is reporting that Chazelle’s film is currently tracking to make $18 million on its opening weekend. So, those are pretty good numbers give the current moviegoing circumstances. I’m actually very surprised. Martin Scorsese’s “The Wolf of Wall Street,” a fairly similar 3-hour passion project, opened to $19 million in the pre-COVID days. How Deadline managed to get these numbers I don’t know, but it’s a positive sign for the film. “Babylon” is getting a wide release on December 23rd. Contribute Hire me
