Today comes the trailer for Malick’s latest opus. “A Hidden Life” will be released in theaters on December 13th. As Oscar-ready a release date as it gets. And yet, I cannot see it getting any Oscar noms, beyond maybe Score and Cinematography. It’s too pompous, too self-indulgent to make a difference in 2019. We did get this very nice poster.
